Les was born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria, the son of Ogbuefi Chief Egbunike Ojugbana, a prominent businessman and Royal Chief, a direct descendant of Nnebisi the founder of The Asaba Kingdom, in the oil rich delta region of Nigeria.

Latterly university educated in the United Kingdom, Over the course of more than two decades, Les has acquired and established a wide range of successful businesses himself, in the leisure, entertainment, agriculture, construction and security industries, as well as a vast commercial and residential property portfolio spanning the globe.
Through Les’s family background of prominent business leaders based in Nigeria and internationally, Les has developed a wealth of knowledge and understanding of the African business terrain, however primarily focused on Nigeria, both in the public and private sector, complimented by a well-established strong business network spanning the globe.
With a track record involved in projects on multiple fronts, in the energy sector, property development, public transportation and The oil and gas industry. As well as consultancy within the public and private sector advising on key government projects and contracts. Les also has a track record of taking on failing businesses and turning them into profitable enterprises.
He is an avid sportsman, and takes a keen interest in social issues.

The Street to School Initiative has continued its mission to support the education of disadvantaged young Nigerians through its annual General Certificate Examination (GCE) Sponsorship scheme. Since its inception in 2010, the initiative has sponsored a total of 688 students, enabling them to sit for the vital GCE, a key requirement for academic and vocational advancement.
